Obama is sending $500 million to support lending to small businesses in Egypt for job creation.
The project is in cooperation with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which will provide grant funding and technical assistance to the initiative.
During her March trip to Egypt, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that USAID would provide even more than the $500 million for Egypt-up to $2 billion in financial support to create jobs throughout the Middle East.
Clinton said the USAID initiative would prioritize its support for job creation in small and medium-sized Egyptian enterprises.
Elizabeth Littlefield joined Secretary Clinton on the trip to Egypt. Littlefield was formerly with JP Morgan, and is now is an Obama appointee as head of OPIC, the U.S. Government’s development finance institution. Elizabeth will help Hillary to carry the money to the Arabs.
Littlefield said, “As Secretary Clinton said in March, one of the best ways to support the transformation in Egypt is to support small businesses-for stability, growth and job creation.”
USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah chimed in, “By strengthening the private sector in the Middle East, we help increase entrepreneurial activity and generate new jobs.”
And what about the American people, especially the unemployed? Do they realize that Obama is sending their money to the Arabs? Does Fox News, or CNBC, or any other media outlet talk about this?
Rajiv Shah is been mentioned by us before. In a prior post we pointed out that Shah, a former Bill Gates’ employee, is pushing to outsource American computer jobs to Armenia and Sri Lanka-to the benefit of Microsoft-and to the detriment of American workers.
Rajiv Shah, whose parents are from India, appears to owe more allegiance to his ethnic Indian roots than to the American people.
I lived many years in the Middle East working for Big Oil. One thing I can tell you about the Middle East is that when you bring the Arabs a gift, like Hillary’s $500 million, they will want to reward you-handsomely!
Can it be that Obama, Clinton, Littlefield, and Rajiv Shah are so naïve as to believe that the U.S. will gain respect by pouring money onto the Arabs?
Such gifts to the Arabs are viewed only as a tribute—as a sign of weakness. The money buys the U.S. no goodwill. Just the opposite—it gains the U.S. disrespect.
Let’s assume that Obama, Clinton, Littlefield, and Rajiv Shah are not so stupid, after all to think they are gaining good will for America.
If that is the case, the entire exercise of sending money to the Arabs could be to secure a kickback. What else? This is something a Special Prosecutor should examine, but that is not going to happen.
Today, the Dow is down 512 points and a record 82 percent of Americans now disapprove of the way Congress is handling its job—the most since The New York Times first began asking the question in 1977.
So what can the American people do about a completely corrupt government? Certainly, the ballot box does not work.
So what’s left other than a violent overthrow of the U.S. government?
